Looking for Sidney Crosby

The return of Sidney Crosby is no longer as far off as people may imagine. I heard a rumor from someone close to Sidney's agent, that Sid's headaches are returning. I have a few issues with that rumor's crebibility.

1) Why in the world would Sid's agent even think about divulging that information? His best chance of keeping money coming to himself would be through people believing that #87 will be returning to being the best hockey player in the game.

2) If Sid is still a long way from returning, what is the point of trading Mark Le testube (as my wife calls him) and sending another center to Wilkes-Barre.

3) Sidney continues to be contacted in practice and continues to travel with the team. If his agent truly believed that his headaches were returning, THERE IS NO WAY he would allow the risk of injury.

If I had to guess, Sid will be back next week...and the Crosby Show will be back on the air.

Penguins Come from Behind

Is it real that the Penguins are into the preseason already? It seems like just last week they were hoisting the cup! It is that time of year again.

BAD SIGN: The Penguins fell behind 3-0 early in the game.

GOOD SIGN: They were able to muster together a few points to send it to overtime and win.

BAD SIGN: Sidney Crosby was in their lineup, even though Columbus sat some pretty good players.

GOOD SIGN: Eric Tangradi looks like the player the Penguins hope he will become.

Only time will tell what the Penguins will look like without Max Talbot in the lineup. We may not know until the regular season begins on October 2nd.

Sid had 2 goals & the assist on the game winner. Chris Kunitz had 2 goals and an assist. Eric Tangradi had 2 assists. Not too shaby.
